You don't. It's there for you to retrace your steps and know which landmarks you've passed in order to help you find a certain destination, or something along those lines.

It will reset every time you enter, and by the same token, leave, a zone.

Just close the mission map by pressing the U key.

You'll still get the compass at the top, and you can still see the larger map with the M key, but you'll no longer have the smaller map pane with the red.

As far as I know, there's no way to use the mission map and not see the red.

You could run a texmod which replaces the dots with a clear PNG texture. But you really should just leave them there, they are useful at times.

Maybe he has a foot fetish and he can't go more than 2 feet without spooging over his keyboard? That or, he wants to see the pretty terrain.

On-topic: Yea... The footprints are/can be very helpful (as well as the red dots for when you're vanquishing).

Arabic expression for "I swear" IIRC.

Nope. It's the common spelling of voil?? by people who've heard the word but never seen it written.

It's better than the even-more-common "viola!" - OMG, here come the big violins again ^_^

As per wiki.answers.com: "Wala is a tagalog word which means nothing or none."

Walla Walla is a town in washington, if you listened to the offspring you'd know that.
I simply meant it in the way that the walla walla prison is very painful to endure. Get out of here with french jargon.

To properly counter your "real reason for putting wala":

Wouldn't you spell it "Walla" with a capital W since it's a place and thus a proper noun and furthermore with 2 "L"s to properly spell the word? Just saying.

lol This can be seen so many ways.

Wala - Yes, it's tigalog but to say "nothing" in the middle of the sentence makes no sense at all..

Wallah (phonetic) - Arabic for "I swear to God", which would make more sense.

Or he could have been lazy/eating a pizza and therefore typing one-handed and didn't spell voil?? correctly.

On topic though:
I suggest you really keep those red dots... And i see no reason for you to even want to get rid of them. Unless they seem to be cluttering your minimap. If it is, you can zoom your mini map out by scrolling backwards, like you were to do it for your camera view.
